Sustainability
Fidelidade Property operates in a sector with significant environmental impact: real estate sector is responsible for c.40% of global energy consumption and approximately one-third of global carbon emissions. Being aware of this challenge and aligned with Fidelidade Group's sustainability ambitions, Fidelidade Property is gradually implementing an ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) strategy across its entire real estate portfolio.
This strategy is based on five fundamental objectives that guide how we manage and develop our real estate assets:
ESG certifications: Ensuring that our buildings meet the highest environmental, social and governance standards.
Carbon Neutrality: Reduce carbon emissions intensity by 45% (kg CO₂/m²) by 2030 (from 2022) and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with applicable ESG legislation, both at national and European level.
Responsible Procurement: Promoting ethical and sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
Green Clauses in Lease Agreements: Fostering collaboration between landlords and tenants to drive sustainability.
Fidelidade Property is committed to investing in and developing sustainable real estate projects, contributing not only to a more balanced and responsible future, but also to strengthening the resilience of its real estate portfolio considering environmental, social and regulatory challenges.
